Configuration Instructions

Note: iOS 13.7 or greater is required.

For more detailed instructions with screenshots, see below.

  1. Download the pilot profile
    1.  Click to download the profile on Safari on your iPhone
    2. If prompted, click 'Allow' to allow the download of the configuration profile
    3. If prompted where to install, select 'iPhone'
    4. Click 'Close' to acknowledge the profile downloaded message
  2. Install the pilot profile
    1. Go to Settings > General > Profile (note that, instead of “Profile” it might appear as “Profiles & Device Management”)
    2. Tap on the Profile called “ENX Oregon Pilot Configuration”
    3. Tap 'Install' and enter device pin code
    4. Tap 'Install' again, and tap 'Install' a third time.
    5. Tap 'Done'
  3. Turn on exposure notifications
    1. Go to Settings > Exposure Notifications > Turn on Exposure Notifications
    2. Tap 'Continue' and select United States > Oregon when prompted
    3. Scroll down and tap 'Agree' to accept terms.
    4. When prompted, tap 'Turn on' to configure exposure notifications.
    5. You will see a confirmation that exposure notifications are enabled. Tap 'Done' to finish.
      Please note that the “Availability  Alerts” setting is related to being notified when Oregon Exposure Notifications are rolled out statewide. This setting is not relevant to the OSU  pilot.

Opt-out and Uninstall

  1. Go to Settings > Exposure Notifications.
  2. Tap 'Active Region'
  3. Tap 'Oregon Health Authority'.
  4. Scroll down and tap  'Remove Region' and tap 'Remove Region' again to confirm.
  5. Go back to Settings > Exposure Notifications.
  6. Tap 'Turn Off Exposure Notifications' and tap 'Turn Off and Delete Data' to confirm.
  7. Go to Settings > General, and tap 'Profile'.
  8. Tap on the 'ENX Configuration Internal Testing' profile.
  9. Tap 'Remove Profile', enter your device pin code, and then tap 'Remove' to confirm
  10. Restart your device.

  5. Go to Settings > General > Profile and tap on the Profile “ENX Oregon Pilot Configuration”
  6. Tap 'Install', enter device pin code, and tap 'Install' again, and tap 'Install' a third time.
  7. Tap 'Done'
  8. Go to Settings > Exposure Notifications
  9. Click on 'Turn on Exposure Notifications'
  10. Click 'Continue'
  11. Select 'United States' when prompted to select your country or region.
  12. When prompted to select your state or region, select 'Oregon'.
  13. Scroll down and tap 'Agree' to accept terms.
  14. When prompted, tap 'Turn on' to configure exposure notifications.
  15. You will see a confirmation that exposure notifications are enabled. Tap 'Done' to finish.

    1. Click to download the Oregon Exposure Notifications app
  2. Open the app
    1. Once installed, the app will now appear on your device as 'Oregon Exposure Notifications'.

Opt-out and Uninstall

  1. Simply uninstall the app to opt out of exposure notifications.
