What do I need to do if I take OSU equipment out of an OSU building or facility to work from home or another remote location?

Employees that have taken or plan to take any OSU equipment (capital or minor) out of OSU facilities are required to maintain accountability of those items by documenting the following:

  • The date equipment was taken.
  • A description of the items taken, such as computers, monitors, printers, etc.; please include serial numbers if possible.
  • Where the equipment was taken.
  • Who has custody and responsibility for safeguarding the equipment.

Documentation requirements can be satisfied through one of the following ways:

  • Completing the Property Loan Agreement form found in the PRO Property Policy Manual.
  • Creating a simple log in Excel or Word.
  • Using another suitable application or method that includes the requested information.

Upon completion, these records should be retained and filed by the employee’s supervisor.
