Will my student be required to isolate for 14 days upon returning to campus for winter term?

Students living in the residence halls will be required to be tested for COVID-19 within three days of return to campus. While awaiting test results, they will be strongly encouraged to:

  • Limit interactions with others as much as possible.
  • Avoid gathering with other people on or off campus.
  • Limit trips off campus or out of the residence hall unless absolutely necessary.
  • Use dining plan to avoid trips to grocery stores or off-campus dining locations.
  • Limit recreation to outdoor activities that can be done in isolation.

Additionally, students, faculty and staff enrolled in TRACE OSU COVID-19 testing will be offered tests the week of Jan. 4, 2021. This testing will be offered at the OSU Corvallis campus, OSU-Cascades in Bend at the Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport.

If arriving by a domestic or international flight, limit exposure to others for 14 days after travel.

All members of the university community should continue to practice protective health behaviors as they return to campus. This includes good hand hygiene, physical distancing and wearing face coverings. Everyone should monitor their health for COVID-19 symptoms and work with their health care provider as needed. If you test positive, please complete the OSU Positive Case Notification form. Note that all employees who test positive for COVID-19 are required to inform their supervisor.
