Why are fall classes remote after the Thanksgiving holiday? When should I return to campus for winter?

On the Corvallis campus, fall term face-to-face teaching will end on Nov. 25, 2020, and week 10 face-to-face classes and fall term final exams and activities will be delivered remotely. Students will not need to return to campus after the Thanksgiving break to complete the fall term. Reducing travel to and from campus during this time will provide an additional important measure of public health protection for students, faculty, staff and the Corvallis community.

Corvallis students should plan ahead for Thanksgiving and winter breaks, considering people at increased risk they may come into contact with when returning to home communities as well as the internet access and study spaces available to them in different locations. Whether remaining in Corvallis or returning to home communities, students will need internet access in this location to complete week 10 coursework and final exams. Winter term classes are scheduled to begin Jan. 4, 2021.
