What will winter term generally look like for classes? What can I expect as a student?

At this point in time, we are currently planning for most winter term classes to be held remotely. For those courses that we anticipate will occur on-campus, the plan is for you to have smaller sections of courses in larger rooms, and there will be fewer people on campus at one time. You won’t be able to sit next to your friends in class; there will be mandatory spacing for public health safety. Specialized classes like labs, PAC courses, and other courses with significant engagement may have additional spacing requirements to ensure students are appropriately distanced from each other. OSU has a mandatory face covering policy, as does the State of Oregon.  (As with all of OSU’s current plans, new health authority guidance or other requirements may result in courses moving to be held remotely either temporarily or for the entire term.)
