Where can I get a booster or third dose of vaccine?

Beginning Sept. 20, 2021, it is our current understanding that booster doses are expected to be authorized by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) for individuals starting eight months after receiving the second dose of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. Moderna boosters are expected to follow. It is our understanding that these will likely be available starting eight months after completing the initial two doses.

We believe that boosters will be available through the local communities, including most pharmacies. Health care providers and mass vaccination clinics will likely be messaging eligibility information for those who receive initial doses in these sites. There should also be information available through regional health care systems and local public health authorities. OSU will communicate more information about boosters as it becomes available. Check with your local public health department or regional health services for more information. For the Corvallis/Albany/Newport area, more information is available through Samaritan Health Services.
