Dear OSU Employees,

Per a recent White House announcement, Jan. 4, 2022, is the new deadline for employees of federal contractors to be vaccinated against COVID-19. This Executive Order applies to all OSU employees, regardless of where duties are performed, as was previously communicated by the university on Oct 27, 2021.

OSU employees will need to have received their final vaccination dose – either their second dose of Pfizer or Moderna, or single dose of Johnson & Johnson – by Jan. 4, 2022. We strongly encourage all employees to comply by the previous deadline of Dec. 8, 2021. However, formal compliance measures will be in effect on Jan. 4, 2022.

Requests for exceptions for medical or disability reasons or sincerely held religious beliefs are encouraged to be submitted as early as possible, and be submitted no later than Dec. 6 to allow time to become fully vaccinated if the exception request is denied. If applicable, you can apply for an exception for medical reasons or due to a sincerely held religious belief by completing the exception request forms, provided on the Student Health Services COVID-19 Immunization Requirements website.  If you are already fully vaccinated, please upload your proof of vaccination by using the secure Student Health Services website.

Information on where you can obtain a vaccine can be found here.

If you have questions, please visit the Frequently Asked Questions that appear on the  OSU’s COVID-19 Safety and Success website or contact [email protected].

Thank you,
