Can my employees work remotely?

A decision to allow an employee to work remotely during COVID-19 should be based upon whether the employee’s position allows them to perform necessary work remotely. This guidance applies to OSU’s entire workforce, including academic faculty, professional faculty, graduate assistants, classified employees and student workers.

If the supervisor and employee are unable to reach an understanding regarding work to be performed remotely, the employee may send an email to the Human Resources Strategic Partner or a member of the Employee and Labor Relations Team for further assistance in reviewing whether there are any other alternatives.
