COVID-19 Immunization Requirements
Did You Know...
The COVID-19 vaccine has gone through careful testing in large clinical trials. The FDA’s emergency use enables drug companies to mass produce and distribute the vaccine. After people receive the vaccine, they are monitored for side effects for 15-30 minutes.
Even if you have had COVID-19, you should still receive a vaccine when it becomes available to you. There is not enough evidence to tell how long someone is immune to the virus after contracting and recovering from COVID-19.
If you have received a first dose of a vaccine that requires two shots, the second shot can be given at a different clinic. However, the second dose must be the same vaccine manufacturer as the first shot. You cannot receive a different manufacturer’s vaccine. Make sure to bring your white vaccination card to your second-dose appointment to verify that you received the first dose and its manufacturer.
